Maximum Age/Mileage: Most vehicle manufacturers make available at an added cost certified coverage to vehicles that are 5 years old or less with less than 50,000 miles. The cost of these programs is included in the selling price. We can provide similar comprehensive coverage to vehicles 8 years old or less with up to 80,000 miles. Warranty Terms: Most vehicle manufacturers certified coverage starts from the date the vehicle was first registered new and usually extends 6 years or 100,000 from then. We can provide coverage of up to 7 years and 125,000 miles on vehicles less than 5 years old with less than 50,000 miles. On vehicles that are up to 8 years old with less than 80,000 miles, coverage of up to 4 additional years and 60,000 additional miles is available. Roadside Assistance: The better manufacturers’ certified programs provide 24 hour roadside assistance for things such as towing, flat tires and running out of gas. Our plan also provides comparable 24 hour roadside assistance service. Deductible: Some manufacturers programs have a $50 deductible. Some have no deductible. Our extended warranty plan offers deductible options to suit your preferences. You may select a plan with $0, $50, or $100 deductible for each repair visit. Transferability: As with most manufacturers’ certified programs, our plan is transferable to subsequent owners. It is often a strong selling point. Rental cars: Only a very few certified programs provide rental car assistance while your car is being repaired. Our plan provides reimbursement of up to $30 per day or direct payment to Enterprise Rent-a-Car if they are used. Flexibility: Manufacturers’ certified programs typically require that the vehicle is repaired at one of their franchised dealers. Our plan allows repairs to be completed at the franchised dealer or a certified repair shop of your choosing. Pricing: Our extended warranty is entirely optional and competitively priced with manufacturers’ certified programs. Costs vary depending on the model of car and the length of coverage that you choose. You can save more by opting for deductible coverage" |
