After we buy a car for you, we provide for adequate insurance coverage during shipment back to our facility in Oxford and at our lot. Shipping generally takes only a few days. On arrival we re-inspect the car for transport damage, service any non-warranty items such tires and brakes and give it a thorough test-drive, cleaning and detailing. We then notify you and arrange to make out all the necessary paperwork.
Your Auto Expert has a systematic inspection process for every car we purchase. We’ll be happy to show you our inspection form and discuss the details. Still, no inspection checklist can substitute for a trained and experienced inspector.
If you are not sure what year, make and model would best serve your needs, or you like a certain style but are unsure if other features would be right for you … we’ll be happy to discuss the pros and cons of various makes and models with you. We'll try to steer you to safe, reliable vehicles that hold their resale value well and get good mileage – emphasizing exactly those features that matter most to you. There is no charge for this optional service.
As a licensed dealer, Your Auto Expert has access to wholesale distributors and their web sites that are not available to the public. Many wholesalers post descriptions of the cars that will be available at their upcoming dealer-only sales events. Some cars always show up too late to be listed, but we can often get a good overall picture of what to expect in advance. We shop at the large regional wholesalers where a single importer or finance company will bring one or two hundred cars of the same make to market on a single day. These large lots are virtually always listed on the web site in advance.
In today's market, it is much more economical to buy a like-new car than a new or an older used one. Most people know that new cars depreciate many thousands of dollars in the first two or three years. Many people do not realize that new manufacturing methods, better engineering and longer warranties mean that many low mileage used cars still have "like-new" reliability, comfort, style and features. Buying a used car with even a short time remaining on the factory warranty assures the buyer that the car will be in virtually perfect mechanical condition as delivered.
